Batch-generate Word contracts from Excel — one file per row

Upload a filled sample contract, mark what changes (names, dates, amounts), then drop in your Excel. batchword creates a separate, ready-to-send .docx for every row — no mail-merge combined file, no VBA. Your files are processed entirely in your browser and never leave your computer.

Why not just use mail merge?

One file per contract
Mail merge stitches everyone into a single long document, and you need an add-in or macro to split them. batchword outputs a separate .docx per row — each contract ready to send on its own.
No formulas, no VBA
No macros, no add-ins, no Power Automate. Upload a sample, mark the fields once, and generate. If you can use Word and Excel, you can use this.
Your contracts stay private
Contracts hold sensitive data. Templates, data, and generated files all run locally in your browser — they never touch a server or database.

Core workflow

Upload a sample contract
Use a .docx that already contains sample values. No need to write {{field}} tags.
Select and bind fields
Select values like “Jane Doe”, “10000”, or “2026-06-04”, then reuse or create fields.
Fill data and generate
Fill online or upload Excel — one contract per row. Blank values require confirmation before ZIP generation.

Common questions

How is this different from Word mail merge?

Mail merge combines all records into one document and needs an add-in or macro to split them. batchword generates one separate .docx per Excel row by default — no combining, no add-in — so each contract is ready to send on its own.

Do my files get uploaded anywhere?

No. Templates, your Excel data, and the generated documents are all processed locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, stored in a database, or used to train AI.

Can I use my existing Excel spreadsheet?

Yes. Export the field template to match your columns, or fill your rows in directly. Each row becomes one generated document.

Is it only for contracts?

Contracts are the main use case, but any repeated Word document works — offer letters, certificates, notices, invoices. If it is one template filled many times, batchword fits.
